Improve Your Shop: Follow Our Tips!

We know that being an independent artist isn't always the easiest hustle. So we want to make that journey a little easier by rounding up our best tips so you can make your shop the most successful it can be, from the very beginning.

So you're going to start a shop...

Welcome aboard! We're so excited you're here. To get started, go ahead and sign up and customize your storefront. Really imagine your storefront to be a shop your customers are stepping into: I promise your fans will love seeing your style and appreciating your brand.

Next, start uploading! We've got a single-file uploader and a bulk uploader, too. Try 'em both on for size to see which you like best! (While you're at it, get real good at tagging your designs and try out watermarking to protect your work.) Also, find out how to get paid!

But you need help with your designs...

Look, we've been there! Learning a new platform means figuring out where all your important information lives and sorting out the best way to get your art in front of an appreciative audience.  Do you need help with knocking out a white background on your designs so that you can make it available for all colorways and products? Or maybe you just want to know more about designing for DTG printing in general? Or maybe you're in the mood to geek out over the nitty-gritty details of designing for DTG printing? The site's on sale. Now what?

Occasionally, for national holidays or because we think it's good timing, we'll have a sale. Here's how to navigate sale time to maximize your sales. Besides that, it's always good to tell your audience that your shop is on sale--so here's how we suggest doing some self-promotion. Relatedly, we've photoshop templates for you to use to promote your awesome designs to your audience. 

You're getting into this marketing thing...

If you've got a website, it's a great idea to externally link to your TeePublic shop. (After all, if your fans are checking out your site, they'll also probably want to check out your shop, too!) If you don't have a website yet but want one, here are tips to start your own website.
